Dusted

Yesterday was a real stinker!  It's so easy to become complacent about the weather in Britain and following a few weeks of rather nice, warm sunny conditions, we had perhaps become lulled into a false sense of security.  So when, as yesterday, we get a day of almost unbroken rain and temperatures on the chillier side, it comes as a surprise.
However, this morning was back to being very warm, very humid and rather 'sticky'.  So we set out for our walk around Straw's Bridge, keeping to the drier paths.  The Bumble Bees were also enjoying the better weather and catching up on their feeding, particularly around the Ragwort plants which grow around the lakes.
In the process, some of them were becoming dusted with pollen - not that they seemed to notice, so intent were they with sipping nectar.
The Teasels too were seeing a lot of Bumble Bee action and here too, the bees were getting themselves dusted with pollen.
This little chap had obviously had enough of me pointing my camera at it and scurried round the other side of the Teasel so all I got was a view of it's pollen-dusted bottom.
