Nutbrook

After our rather abortive attempt at a walk yesterday - thanks to the rain arriving just at the time we decided to set out - we had a nice walk to Straw's Bridge this morning, in the sunshine.  Not that there was much sun to be had under the canopy of trees along the old Nutbrook Canal.
The sun was doing it's best to get through the tangle of branches and the waters of the old canal, swollen after yesterday's rain, were glinting in the gloom.
Arriving at 'Swan Lake' the usual feeding frenzy was going on as someone turned up with a bag of bread for the ducks, swans, coots, moorhens and the ever-hungry black-headed gulls.  But they do look beautiful against a blue sky.
