A musical interlude today. There is a musical instrument which, more than any other, produces some of the most strange and beautiful sounds. It has a technical name assigned to it, which comes from the Greek; the
hydrodaktulopsychicharmonica. It is better known as a Glass Harp or Glass Harmonica.
As a kid, I was often told off for dampening a finger and running it around the rim of mum's best glassware to produce a sound, but if I'd had one of these instruments, I could have made a much better noise. Just listen to this:
